With an intention to initiate a dynamic academic activity and also to ensure that the members are kept updated, it was proposed that one or Two Continuing Medical Education programmes will be held annually in addition to the Pre conference Continuing Medical Education activity. Accordingly during the General body meeting of the South India Medico Legal Association (SIMLA), held in Secunderabad on 23.09.2017 the following resolutions were passed.

• Members can organize CME programs in their institutions in association with South India Medico Legal Association (SIMLA) which shall be accredited by their State Medical Councils.
• Not more than two CMEs shall be planned in a year.
• These CMEs cannot be conducted in the state where the Annual conference is scheduled during the current year nor can it be held in the state where the annual conference was held during the previous year

First such Continuing Medical Education program was held at Government Medical College, Tiruvannamalai on 20.04.2019. & Dr. Kamalakannan was the organizing Secretary of the CME.
